What is the difference between tutoring and educational consultancy services?
Tutoring and educational consultancy serve different but complementary purposes in supporting a student’s academic journey.
Tutoring focuses on academic learning, helping students improve understanding in specific subjects, boost grades, and prepare for exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels. Tutoring is curriculum-aligned and often delivered 1:1, tailored to a student’s learning style and pace, with regular progress tracking to ensure academic improvement.
Educational consultancy, on the other hand, focuses on strategic guidance for university applications and life skills development.

Where does tutoring take place?
Our tutoring sessions are flexible and can take place at your child’s home, local library, or community space, providing a comfortable and convenient learning environment.
For students who prefer online learning, we conduct our sessions via the secure Pencilspaces platform, ensuring interactive, effective lessons from anywhere.What is your availability like?
Once you decide to move forward, we carefully assess our tutors and begin the personalised matching process. Once a match is finalised, we’ll contact you with the selected tutor and available session times, allowing you to choose the schedule that works best for your child. This ensures a seamless start to tutoring and a perfect fit for both academic goals and availability.
How long does it take to get me matched to tutor?
At New Leaf Education, we believe that finding the right tutor is far more important than simply choosing the first available option. Our personalised, in-depth matching process carefully considers your child’s learning style, goals, and needs, ensuring the perfect fit. Depending on the time of year, this thorough process typically takes 2-4 weeks, giving students the best possible start to their tutoring journey.
What happens if the student and tutor are not a good fit?
At New Leaf Education, we understand that sometimes a tutor-student match that looks perfect on paper may not feel like the right fit in practice. That’s why we offer a free rematching process to ensure every student is fully supported. That said, our carefully tailored matching system gets it right the first time in the vast majority of cases, so rematching is rarely needed.
How will the free online consultation take place?
It will take place online, via GoogleMeets. Once you book yourself in for a consult and it has been confirmed, you should then receive a link to Googlemeets link.
